University of Washington outfielder Kyle Conley and right-handed starting pitcher Jorden Merry were both named to the All-Pac-10 baseball team today, the conference office announced. The team is voted on by the nine conference coaches.

Four Huskies earned honorable mention: senior catcher Joey Dunn, junior left-handed pitcher Nick Haughian, senior outfielder Andy Lentz and freshman first baseman Troy Scott.

Arizona State cleaned up most of the major honors as Brett Wallace was named Pac-10 Player of the Year, Mike Leake earned Pitcher of the Year, Jason Kipnis won Newcomer of the Year and Pat Murphy picked up the Coach of the Year Award. Washington State's Paul Gran was named the Defensive Player of the Year.

Conley, a redshirt sophomore from Richland, Wash., led the Huskies with 19 home runs and 57 runs batted in. Over 54 games and 181 at bats, he batted .337 with 13 doubles and a team-high 49 runs scored. He earned Pac-10 Player of the Week two straight weeks in May.

Kyle Conley hit 19 homers.

Merry, a junior from Pasco, finished the season 8-2 with a 3.61 earned run average. He won his first eight decisions of the season and his first five in Pac-10 play. In 89.1 innings pitched, he allowed only 69 hits as opponents batted just .233 against him.

Dunn, a senior from Inglemoor High, started 33 games behind the plate and was one of the league's top defensive backstops. Haughian, from Marysville, Wash., went 6-5 with a 3.76 ERA and, at the end of the regular season, was tied for the Pac-10 lead with 107 strikeouts.

Woodinville native Lentz, the third of three brothers to play for the Huskies, led the Huskies with a .371 batting average while Scott, a freshman from Auburn, batted .260 with seven homers and 36 RBI (both second on the team behind Conley) in his first college season.
