Two former Huskies will square off in baseball's AAA championship -- dubbed the "Bricktown Showdown" -- as shortstop Brent Lillibridge and pitcher Shawn Kohn will represent their respective teams in the title game.
Kohn, a veteran with the Pacific Coast League champion Sacramento RiverCats will face off with Lillibridge, in his first season with the Richmond Braves, champions of the International League.
The one-game championship, played in Oklahoma City, will be played tomorrow, Tue., Sept. 18, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time and will air live on ESPN2.
Lillibridge, a three-year letterman at the UW, batted .287 with 10 homers in 87 games for Richmond this year. He was drafted out of college by Pittsburgh, but was traded to the Braves prior to this season.
