SEATTLE - With about three months to go before the start of fall camp in preparation for the 2011 season, Husky football coach Steve Sarkisian released a post-spring depth chart today.
The UW football team wrapped up its five-week spring practice period last Saturday with the annual Spring Game.
In releasing the depth chart, Coach Sarkisian confirmed that, as of the end of spring ball, sophomore-to-be Keith Price has earned the No. 1 spot at quarterback.
"Based on his entire body of work this spring, Keith Price has earned the right to be our starting quarterback," Sarksian said. "Keith worked extremely hard this spring and has developed into a team leader. I am also pleased with the progress of Nick Montana, who will continue to push Keith and make us a better football team."
The depth chart, of course, includes only players who were enrolled and on the team in spring practice. They will be joined by 21 additional incoming recruits this fall.
The Huskies open the 2011 season Sept. 3 vs. NCAA FCS champion Eastern Washington at Husky Stadium. For ticket information, click here.
