SEATTLE - Fans of University of Washington football can enjoy a day full of fun and entertaining gameday activities this season and it all starts tomorrow when the Huskies host San Jose State in a 12:30 p.m. kickoff at Husky Stadium.
The day begins bright and early in the morning with 950 KJR's coverage of Husky football starting at 8 a.m. and lasting throughout the day until long after the final gun has sounded. Dave "Softy" Mahler, Hugh Millen and Dick Baird will begin a special 90-minute pre-game show live from the tailgate area South of Husky Stadium.
Tickets to watch Husky football are available on gameday at the stadium or in advance by clicking here.
For special live pre-game entertainment, the Husky Huddles at Dempsey Indoor are the place to be. Starting three hours prior to each home game, this event features interactive games, beverages, big screen televisions with games from around the country, the Husky Marching Band and food available for purchase. New for this year is a special appearance at 11 a.m. at each home game by head coach Tyrone Willingham!
The fun doesn't end when the game is over. Season ticket holders are invited to the 5th Quarter in Dempsey Indoor immediately following the game. Enjoy a chalk talk with a Husky Legend (this week it is Chico Fraley), an appearance by a UW football assistant coach, listen to the 950 KRJ post-game show, watch games from around the country on the big screen TV's and enjoy the Husky Marching Band. Beverages and bar snacks will also be available.
