SEATTLE - Tickets for Wednesday's (Dec. 3) men's basketball game between Washington and 17th-ranked Gonzaga are sold out.
The game at Bank of America Arena will be televised live at 7:30 p.m. on Fox Sports Net Northwest. Rich Waltz and NBA Hall of Famer Lenny Wilkens will call the action for the broadcast.
Radio coverage is provided by the Husky Sports Network. Wednesday's game airs throughout the Puget Sound area on KHHO, 850 on the AM dial.
Wednesday marks the fifth sellout since Bank of America Arena re-opened for the 2000-01 season after renovations. The last time Gonzaga played at Washington, the teams competed before a capacity crowd on Dec. 11, 2001.
The most recent sellout for the Washington men came on Feb. 22, 2003 against Oregon.
The Huskies' game against Arizona on Jan. 13, 2001 was the first sellout in the new 10,000-seat configuration. The Wildcats' visit to Seattle last year drew a record crowd of 10,028 on Jan. 11, 2003.
Tickets are still available for Washington's remaining 10 home games, including their final non-conference outing on Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. against Columbia. UW plays its Pacific-10 Conference home opener, Jan. 8 against USC.
Sales for futures games have been brisk and advanced purchases are strongly recommended. Tickets can be purchased via the internet at the Athletic Department website (Husky Basketball Tickets) or by calling the Husky Ticket Office (206-543-2200).
The Huskies are off to their best start in four years with a 3-0 record, including a 104-91 victory over Eastern Washington on Saturday in their last outing.
