Northey Earns Third Conference Honor

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Freshman Allison Northey (Sammamish, Wash.) was named the Pac-12 Newcomer of the Week for the week of March 11-17. This is the third such honor for Northey on the season, also earning the nod on Feb. 19 and Feb. 26.

Northey won her first collegiate all-around title en route to the Huskies topping BYU, 196.625-195.250. The Huskies' total of 196.625 was the team's best score in the modern scoring era (since 2005).

She posted a 39.300 in the all-around and set new career-highs on vault, bars, and floor.

She tallied a 9.775 on floor, a 9.875 on vault to tie for second and tied for third on bars with a 9.850. She also scored a 9.800 on beam to place fourth.

Northey helped contribute to above a 49.000 on all four events for the team for the first time of the year and set a team season-high on three of the four events.

Georgia Dabritz was named Gymnast of the Week and Tory Wilson was Specialist of the Week, both from Utah.

The GymDawgs will compete at the Pac-12 Championships on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Oregon State. Fans can watch live on the Pac-12 Networks.
