  • Team captains for the Huskies were: Dan Howell (Newhall, Calif.), Jordan Reffett (Moses Lake, Wash.), Louis Rankin (Stockton, Calif.) and Anthony Russo (Lakewood, Wash.).

  • Weather conditions at the 7:30 p.m. kickoff: 61 degrees, light rain. Wind was listed at 7 mph from the north.

  • Washington won the toss and will receive in the north end of the field.

  • UW opened the game with two tight ends - Robert Lewis (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Michael Gottlieb (Mercer Island, Wash.) - for the first time this season.

  • Sophomore Matt Mosley (Chandler, Ariz.)earned his first career start at the cornerback position in place of freshman Vonzell McDowell, Jr. (Kent, Wash.).

  • Transfer Byron Davenport (Long Beach, Calif.) entered the game early in the game. He suffered a hamstring injury in preseason and previously played just four plays this season - all against Boise State. He played the 2005 season at UCLA.

  • For the second-straight game, Washington has limited its opponent to a failed field goal on its first possession. Ohio State missed a 44-yard try. UCLA missed a 41-yard attempt.

  • With the 10-10 halftime score, Washington extended its streak of not trailing at halftime to six games. The Huskies have not trailed at halftime since the Nov.4, 2006 game at Oregon.

  • Senior linebacker Dan Howell grabbed his second career interception in the fourth quarter. Both of his career interceptions have come against UCLA - in 2006 he returned a 33-yard interception in the fourth quarter for a TD that clinched UW's win at Husky Stadium.
