WALNUT, CREEK, Calif. - University of Washington sophomore Jon Brockman, who led a home sweep of the Huskies' Bay Area rivals, was named the U.S. Bank Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 5-11, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced Monday.
Brockman, a product of Snohomish (Wash.) High School, registered his 10th and 11th double-doubles of the season and pushed his total of double-digit rebound efforts to 14.
The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 18 points and 12 rebounds last week, compiling 25 percent of the Huskies' points and 35 percent of their individual rebounds.

The Huskies upset 25th-ranked Stanford 64-52 on Sunday (Feb. 11) behind a 14-point, 10-rebound performance from Brockman.
"It was a little bit of a surprise," Brockman exclaimed after receiving his first Player of the Week award. "There's a lot of great players in this league and I know there's a lot of deserving people who could have gotten the award. It's just a huge honor."
