WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Arizona State junior outfielder Travis Buck and Washington sophomore right-handed pitcher Tim Lincecum have been named Pac-10 Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 12-18, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Lincecum, from Renton, Wash., threw a one-hit complete game in the Huskies' 5-1 win over California on April 15. It was the first nine-inning complete game of his career. Lincecum took a no-hitter into the seventh before allowing a one-out RBI double. For the game, he threw nine innings, allowing one hit, one run (earned) and three walks while striking out 11. The 2004 Pac-10 Freshman and Pitcher of the Year, Lincecum currently leads the Huskies in ERA (2.94, 6th Pac-10), opposing batting average (.179, 1st), innings pitched (67.1, 5th), and strikeouts (80, 3rd), and is tied for the team lead in wins (6, t4th).

Buck, from Richland, Wash., helped the Sun Devils to a series sweep over nationally ranked Stanford, hitting .462 (6-for-13) with four runs scored, one double, one home run and six RBI. He also stole a base and recorded a 1.269 OPS (slugging + on-base percentage). Buck recorded multi-hit games in each victory over the Cardinal, providing the heroics with a two-run, game-tying home run in the bottom of the ninth inning in ASU's 6-5 come-from-behind win on April 16. He also had a three-run double in the Sun Devils' 10-9 win on April 17. After batting only .246 through the first 15 games of the season, Buck has heated up, going 49-for-116 (.422) over the last 25 games. Overall, Buck is second on the Sun Devils squad hitting .362 (64-for-177) with 15 doubles, three home runs and 32 RBI. He leads the team with 21 multi-hit games and is hitting .375 (15- for-40) in nine Pac-10 games.

The Player of the Week honor is the fifth of Buck's career, the second this season, while it is the 76th such honor for Arizona State. The Pitcher of the Week honor is the fourth for Lincecum, his second of the year, and the 33rd selection all-time for Washington.
