Washington Head Coach Lorenzo Romar
"It was a great ballgame--a lot of fun. It was great to have the crowd backing. The fans were fun and they helped us down the stretch. I thought our guys did a good job when they were down, we came back. It was tough because Stanford killed us in the first half when they shot 56 percent. (Jon Brockman) missed some shots today that he should have made, but he did a good job coming back."

"(On the last play) We tried to isolate Quincy. He got the ball and drove to the rim, passed it to Matt. Matt had a great shot, missed it, then Jon got a better one."

"After the WSU win, you guys asked me if we could build on it. I didn't see how we wouldn't."

Washington senior Jon Brockman
"(The last play) seemed to take 30 minutes. I saw Matt (Bryan-Amaning) take the shot, and had a feeling it would (rebound) on the backside. I just kind of wedged myself in there. I waited for it, and they took the lid off the basket for me and I made it."

Stanford Head Coach Johnny Dawkins
"The design wasn't always to go to Landry. We saw the no one was on the inbounder so we decided to call another play based on what we had seen. That is why we called the timeout. It's basketball. They made a great play and our guy made a great play. He made the catch. We have to be strong and finish in that situation. I think they are a very good team and we were very competitive. We had our chances. To their credit, they played well. It's a very good environment here (in Bank of America Arena)."

On Mitch Johnson and Isaiah Thomas
"They know each other. They used to play each other in AAU so there is some familiarity there. I am sure both of them being from this area made it special for those two guys. Mitch is coming home. I was proud of his effort. He played well, but we just came up short."

On the last Washington score
"I thought the defense was good. We got the stop we wanted, but we just have to get the rebound."

Stanford senior Mitch Johnson
"It's the first home game in the conference and we knew they were going to be aggressive early and he made some shots. UW is a very good team and they're even better at home. They always play well at home. No matter what their record is they always play well here. You definitely want to come out with a win. Anytime you play in front of family and friends it's fun. But when it's your fourth time some of the luster is really gone."
