Bellingham, Wash. - Husky freshman John Wise bested a field of 18 golfers at a three-way match hosted by Western Washington University Monday, shooting 4-under 68 to propel UW to a four-stroke win over the host Vikings. Washington recorded a 2-under 286, while WWU shot 2-over 290 and St. Martin's turned in an 8-over 296 at the one-round event.

Wise's 68 was a career-best and one of only three scores under-par on the day. Sterling Clark turned in an even-par 72 for the Huskies, one stroke ahead of Zach Bixler and Seth Yates. Joe Panzeri shot 76 while Kellen Eakin, competing as an individual, carded a 77.
