Washington Head Coach Steve Sarkisian
"Somewhere in here there has got to be a silver lining of all these games and experiences that we've been in. We are going to grow from them. We are going to find it. I feel for our guys because when you get so close so many times and you just can't finish it it's disappointing. Honestly, I feel for our seniors. To get in a ball game like this and to come out on the losing end is disappointing for everybody."
"We're a young team, and we're learning. (These games) are hard to swallow now but in the future, these games are going to help us and mold us into the team we will become."
On running back Chris Polk: "Chris had a great effort. I'm proud of him. He's a redshirt freshman and has a lot of football ahead of him. He played well and ran hard."
UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel
"We are thrilled with the victory. We are going to enjoy it for a day and then look and see how we made all those mistakes and survived. There were some great things today, our throwing game getting the ball down the field and our receivers getting open. But we had far too many turnovers. We finally got one back at the end, a very key play in the game. We're fortunate to be sitting here with the win. I complimented my team for their resolve, coming back to work despite going through so much adversity over the last five weeks. But we kept coming back and believed."
