WALNUT CREEK, Cailf. - For the second straight week, two members of the UW football team have been honored as Pac-12 Conference Players Of The Week.

Seniors Cort Dennison and Everrette Thompson earned Defensive and Special Teams Player of the Week, respectively, after Saturday's 40-32 win over Hawai'i.

Dennison, a linebacker from Salt Lake City, led all players with 12 total tackles, including 10 solo stops. He also provided a key play when he stripped the ball from a UH receiver on the UW 12-yard line, leading to the second Husky touchdown of the game on the ensuing drive.

Thompson, a defensive tackle from Renton, Wash., blocked two extra-point attempts in the game, the second of which was returned by Desmond Trufant for a defensive conversion, giving the Huskies a late, eight-point lead. Thompson also contributed three tackles, including a sack.

Colorado wide receiver Paul Richardson took the offensive honors.

The previous week, Trufant and kicker Erik Folk were honored as Pac-12 Players of the Week after the win over Eastern Washington.
