Seattle - The Pac-10 Conference today announced the preseason selections by its broadcast partners for the 2003 college football season. Several Washington games have been selected by either ABC Sports or TBS for telecast.
The Huskies' season opener at Ohio State on Aug. 30 will be televised nationally by ABC Sports to a prime time audience. The game will be shown to 80 percent of the nation and is scheduled to kickoff at 5 p.m. PT.
Two Washington home games have been picked for telecast.
Washington's Oct. 25 homecoming matchup with USC will be broadcast by ABC Sports and will kickoff at 12:30 p.m. PT.
The Huskies' Nov. 1 home game with Oregon will be shown on national cable by TBS. Kickoff for that game has been moved back to 7 p.m. PT. The matchup with the Ducks will mark the seventh night game in Husky Stadium history and the latest in the schedule. Washington is 4-2 in night games played at home, including a 38-7 victory against Wyoming last season.
Additional Washington games may be televised by Pac-10 or local television partners. Those games will be selected either 12 or six days in advance during the course of the season.
Fox Sports Net Northwest will once again provide a Sunday replay of all Husky games.
