Head Coach Lorenzo Romar

On his team's performance:
"Early on in the game, we were real aggressive but in too much of a hurry. We were missing a lot of easy baskets. We settled down. I thought defensively we did a really nice job today."

On California tomorrow:
"Huge opponent we're going against. Cal right now is playing like a machine...We have to play at a high level in order to compete with them tomorrow."

On what tomorrow could mean for Washington:
"It's an opportunity for us to win a championship, regardless if it's the one-seed or the eight-seed. It's an opportunity for us to win a championship and make sure we take it out of the committee's hands for the NCAA tournament."

Washington Guard Quincy Pondexter

On NCAA tournament hopes:
"We have to come out and play as hard as we possibly can tomorrow. We don't know if we're in the NCAA tournament or not. We haven't been given the invitation or anything by them. We just have to come out and play as hard as we can and let Selection Sunday take care of itself."

On California tomorrow:
"It's going to be a tough battle with the last two Pac-10 champions for the Pac-10 championship. It's going to be a lot of fun out there."

Washington Forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning

On the dunk over Zimmermann:
"I was trailing the play. Our guards were doing a nice job of finding me. Venoy just said he heard me yelling his name. He just happened to step-up."
