Washington's Jon Brockman scored a career-high 25 points. Brockman's previous high of 21 points was logged against Air Force in last season's opening tournament, the BCA Classic.

Brockman's 12 rebounds ties his career high, which he set last year against Cornell. Brockman averaged 6.5 rebounds a game last year.

Brockman's 25 points and 12 rebounds marks his fifth career double-double. Brockman's four previous double-doubles came against Morgan State, Air Force, Eastern Washington and Cornell.

Spencer Hawes's four blocks is the highest for a Washington player since the 2004 season, when Hakeem Rollins blocked six shots against California. Jamaal Williams recorded three blocks six times last year to lead the Huskies.

Washington's #17 AP ranking is its highest for an opening game since the 1999 season, when the Huskies opened the season as the #14 team in the country. The 1999 Huskies finished 17-12 under coach Bob Bender.

Washington's four true freshmen combined for 45 points, 18 rebounds, and 14 assists, and shot 18-31 from the field.
