Already recognized for his prowess in the athletic arena, where he is a two-time third-place finisher in the hammer at the Pac-10 Championships; the academic arena, where he completed his degree in philosophy in just three years, and will begin law school this fall; and the field of hammer study, where his website HammerCenter.org, is one of the most widely respected hammer knowledge sites on the web; Husky junior Martin Bingisser enters a new arena this week -- that of international journalist.
In Switzerland this week for the Swiss Club Athletics Championships, where the dual-citizen will compete alongside former Husky Christian Belz for club team ST Bern, Bingisser is writing about his experiences in one of the world's most pristine locations -- and one he says is surprisingly like home.
Husky fans can follow Bingisser in the week leading up to Saturday's meet by clicking on the button labeled "Martin Bingisser's Swiss Diary" on the right-hand side of the UW track sport page at GoHuskies.com. The hills are alive ... with the sound of Martin!
