SEATTLE - Ticket packages for the 2009-2010 UW-KJR AM Dads and Daughters Event Series Presented by YMCA are on sale starting today, Monday, Aug. 3, the University of Washington Athletic Department announced.
The series will feature six Husky women's sporting events throughout the 2009-10 season. At each event, a coach or student-athlete will speak to participants in a special pre or post-game gathering. Each package is $20 and includes one reserved ticket to women's basketball games versus Arizona (Jan. 9) and WSU (Feb. 27), a t-shirt, a special Dad and Daughter photo opportunity at the Arizona game, and a choice of tickets to two other events (soccer, volleyball, gymnastics or softball).
Packages can be purchased by clicking here. Each Dad and each Daughter must purchase a package.
"I am very excited about the continuation of this program," UW head women's basketball coach Tia Jackson said. "Dads have a unique, incredible influence on their daughters, and after a successful series the past two years, I am hopeful that more dads and daughters will enjoy the events during the coming basketball season. This is a great opportunity for both dads and daughters to spend quality time together while learning the values of sportsmanship, team play and competitiveness. I am looking forward to an even greater turn out this year!"
