SEATTLE - Freshman center fielder Brent Lillibridge won the Bill Hutchinson Most Valuable Player Award and the Wilson Gaw Top Hitter Award at the Washington baseball team's postseason awards banquet Sunday afternoon.

Lillibridge, from Jackson High in Everett, was the Huskies' top hitter in 2003, batting .388 with a freshman-record 13 home runs. The MVP award was voted on by his teammates.

In other team-voted awards, senior shortstop Tila Reynolds (Issaquah/Liberty HS) and junior third baseman John Otness (Fircrest/Wilson HS) were named team captains and senior relief pitcher Scott Robertson (Mercer Island) was selected as the team's Most Inspirational Award winner.

Junior Greg Isaacson (Aberdeen), a former walkon who spent his second season as the Huskies' everyday second baseman, was presented with the Jerry Thornton Unsung Hero Award.

Sophomore catcher Aaron Hathaway (Vancouver/Columbia River HS), who didn't make an error and surrendered only 17 stolen bases all season while picking off Pac-10-leading nine runners, earned the team's Gold Glove. Finally, sophomore pitcher Will Fenton (Kingston/North Kitsap HS) was named the UW's Outstanding Pitcher.
