SEATTLE -- Former UW All-American Brandon Roy is bringing NBA Basketball back to Seattle albeit just for one day.

Roy and his Portland Trail Blazer teammates will hold an intrasquad scrimmage on Thursday, Oct. 14 at his alma mater Garfield High School in Seattle.

Tickets will be $5 and can be bought in-person at the Garfield High School activities center. All proceeds from the game will be donated to the Garfield School Foundation. Together, Roy and the Trail Blazers will match the ticket proceeds with a $10,000 donation to the foundation.

Roy attended Garfield from 1998 - 2002. He averaged 22.3 points and 10.4 rebounds for the Bulldogs as a senior, and was a two-time KingCo Conference Most Valuable Player (2001, 2002). He averaged 14.3 points in his four seasons at Washington and earned All-American honors after scoring 20.2 ppg as a senior.

"My teammates and I want to thank the Garfield community for inviting us to Seattle," Roy said in a statement on the Blazers' official website. "Garfield High School holds a very special place in my heart. It's an honor for me and my family to be able to give back to a school that played such a big part in my basketball journey."
