• Tonight's game captains for the Huskies were junior safety Victor Aiyewa and freshman linebacker Tim Tucker. He joined season captains Donald Butler, Jake Locker, Daniel Te'o-Nesheim and Ryan Tolar.

• Washington scored a defensive touchdown for the third straight game. Two weeks ago at Stanford, Justin Glenn ran in a fumble (backwards pass) for a score. At Notre Dame, Desmond Trufant did the same thing and tonight, Mason Foster returned an interception 37 yards for what proved the winning score.

• Arizona scored a touchdown following the Huskies' first-quarter turnover (a Robert Golden interception of a Jake Locker pass), marking just the second time all year that a UW opponent converted a turnover into a TD. The only other was in the LSU game, when a Locker interception was returned for a score.

Jake Locker's 56-yard touchdown run in the first quarter was the longest run of his career, scoring or not. His previous long was a 47-yard run vs. Oregon on Oct. 20, 2007.

• UW receiver Devin Aguilar's five-yard TD reception was the first touchdown catch of Aguilar's career. Of course, Aguilar caught his second later in the game.

• Freshman Nathan Fellner started at one safety spot for the Huskies tonight. It was the first start of Fellner's career and he became the fourth different true freshman to start a game for the UW this year, along with wide receiver James Johnson, cornerback Desmond Trufant and defensive end Talia Crichton.

• Walkon freshman Cole Sager had his first career kickoff return in the fourth quarter.

• Freshman tailback Demitrius Bronson had his first career rushes tonight.

• Tonight's "Lucky Dawg," who accompanied the Husky captains to midfield for the coin toss, was Kendal Bishop, from Castle Rock, Wash.
