SEATTLE - After each game, Coach Tyrone Willingham and the Husky football coaching staff will name the Huskies' Pepsi Players of the Game for that week's performance. The winners following the UW's 24-10 win over Boise State are wide receiver Anthony Russo, cornerback Roy Lewis, linebacker Chris Stevens, tailback Willie Griffin, fullback Tobias Togi and linebacker Fred Wiggs.
Russo, a senior from Lakewood, Wash., caught four passes for 37 yards as the Huskies built an early 14-0 lead and never trailed.
Lewis, senior from Los Angeles who was also named the Pac-10 defesive player of the week, notched 11 tackles (10 solo), with one tackle for loss, three pass breakups and an interception. One of his three pass-breakups came on a fourth-down play in the fourth quarter to end a Boise drive deep in UW territory.
Stevens, a junior from Mojave, Calif., had three tackles and was recognized as a player of the week for his work on the Husky special teams.
Griffin, a freshman from Oakland, Calif., Togi, a freshman from Seattle and Wiggs, a sophomore from Seattle, were all honored for their work on the Huskies' service teams.
