  • Today was the first-ever meeting between Washington and Portland State.
  • Dexter Charles and Mike Criste each made their first career starts on the offensive line, Charles at left guard and Criste at right tackle. DiAndre Campbell also made his first start at the wide receiver position.
  • Washington tied its record for most points in a half with 45. They previously scored that many in the first half at Oregon State in 1999 and vs. Northwestern in 1980.
  • The Huskies have scored on their first offensive series in each of the three games this season.
  • Shaq Thompson blocked a second quarter field goal attempt and Tre Watson returned it 79 yards for a touchdown. It was the Huskies first blocked field goal returned for a TD since Roc Alexander took one back (Omare Lowe, block) 77 yards vs. Michigan on Sept. 8, 2001.
  • Bishop Sankey passed the 100-yard rushing mark for the first time in his career. He ended up with 103 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.
  • Marvin Hall's first quarter 20-yard punt return was his first action as a Husky.
  • Campbell caught his first career TD in the first quarter, a 20-yard strike from Keith Price.
  • Price moved into sole possession for fourth most career touchdown passes by a UW quarterback. He entered the day tied with Damon Huard with 36 touchdowns. Next up on the list, Jake Locker and Brock Huard, who each had 53 career TD's.
  • Shane Brostek appeared for the Huskies on the third series of the game making it nine true freshmen to play this season.
  • Marcus Peters' made his first career interception in the second quarter and returned it 21 yards for a touchdown.
  • Austin Seferian-Jenkins continued his move up the Huskies top-10 list for career receptions by a tight end. He now has 61 catches and is 6th on the all-time list. Next up on the list is David Williams (62). A complete list of all-time reception leaders by UW tight ends can be found on page 113 of the record book.
  • Price threw three or more touchdowns for the 9th time in his career.
  • Derek Brown completed his first career pass, a 16-yarder to Hall in the 4th quarter. It was also Hall's first reception.
