SEATTLE - The Pac-10 Conference baseball game between Washington and USC, scheduled for Sunday afternoon at Husky Ballpark, was postponed due to rain. The teams will play a doubleheader Monday, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Sunday, the two teams waited until 2:00 p.m., one hour after the scheduled start time, before deciding to call the game off.
Washington sophomore Sean White (3-0, 2.00 earned run average) is scheduled to start game two of the three-game series. USC senior Rik Currier (4-1, 2.75), the 2000 Pac-10 Pitcher of the Year, will counter for the Trojans. In Monday's game two, the third game of the three-game set, the Huskies will send freshman righty Clay Johnson (2-0, 8.10) against Trojan sophomore Anthony Reyes (1-0, 4.24).
Neither game will air on radio in the Seattle area, but the USC broadcast can be heard via the Trojans' website at www.usctrojans.com.
The Huskies continue the homestand Tuesday and Wednesday with a pair of non- conference games against Washington State, both at 6:30 p.m., before travelling to face No. 1 Stanford in a three-game series at Sunken Diamond. Both WSU games and all three at Stanford will air on KSRB AM-1150, and at www.1150ksrb.com.
