SEATTLE - Jermaine Kearse, a junior wide receiver from Lakewood, Wash., is this week's Gohuskies.com Student-Athlete of the Week. He becomes the fourth honoree of the year and the first football player to earn the award.

Kearse helped the Huskies to their first win of 2010, a 41-20 victory over Syracuse at Husky Stadium. He set career-highs with nine receptions, 179 yards and three touchdowns.

The first touchdown for Kearse was a five-yard pass from Jake Locker in the second quarter. The first play of the second half was a 57-yard run for touchdown No. 2. Two drives later, Kearse scored again, this time from 28 yards out.

Other nominees include: Kindra Carlson (volleyball), Kendyl Pele (women's soccer) and Dylan Tucker-Gangnes (men's soccer).
