SEATTLE - The Washington baseball team (2-8) continues its 12-game homestand Monday afternoon when the Diamond Dawgs play their fourth game in three days. Today at 5:00 p.m., Southern Utah (2-13) comes to Husky Ballpark for the first of two games.
The UW is expected to send right-hander Jason Erickson (0-1, 5.62 ERA) to the mound against a to-be-determined Thunderbirds starter. The game will mark the first-ever start for Erickson, sophomore from White River High.
Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., the Huskies and Southern Utah go at it again. The scheduled Husky starter is sophomore righty Bryce Mooney. As always, Tuesday is a "$2 Tuesday" at the Ballpark, as tickets, sodas and hot dogs are $2 apiece all game.
The Huskies' next win will be the 500th in head coach Ken Knutson's career. The 15th-year head coach enters Monday with a 499-328-2 career record.
Live Gametracker statistics and live video of both games will be available at no cost on gohuskies.com.
This weekend, the homestand continues when Pacific (5-11-1) visits Husky Ballpark Friday through Sunday.
