950 KJR Players Of The Game For UW-ASU

SEATTLE - After each game, Coach Tyrone Willingham and the Husky football coaching staff will name the Huskies' 950 KJR Players of the Game for that week's performance. The winners following the UW's game last Saturday vs. Arizona State were wide receiver Cody Bruns, linebacker Mason Foster, linebacker Chris Stevens, kicker Ryan Perkins, offensive lineman Terence Thomas, linebacker Cort Dennison and cornerback Adam Long.

Bruns, a freshman from Prosser, Wash., was the offensive honoree. Aside from his two receptions for 19 yards, Bruns also threw a pair of passes, one of them an eight-yard touchdown toss to quarterback Ronnie Fouch.

Foster, a sophomore from Seaside, Calif., picked up the defensive award after leading the team with nine total tackles. Among that total were seven solo tackles and a sack.

Stevens, a senior from Mojave, Calif., and Perkins, a senior from Olympia, Wash., shared the special teams award. Stevens notched seven tackles and a fumble recovery while also blocking a punt. Perkins made a career-high four field goals, making all four attempts on the day.

Thomas, a freshman from Caldwell, Idaho, Dennison, a redshirt freshman from Salt Lake City, and Long, a freshman from Los Angeles, were honored for their play on the Huskies' service teams in practice during the week.
