SEATTLE - After each game, Coach Tyrone Willingham and the Husky football coaching staff will name the Huskies' Pepsi Players of the Game for that week's performance. The winners following the UW's 34-17 loss to Oregon are center Juan Garcia, safety Chris Hemphill, punt and kick returner Marlon Wood, receiver Kyle Meuli, defensive lineman De'Shon Matthews and offensive lineman Aaron Mason.
Garcia, a junior from Yakima, Wash., played the entire game at center for the Dawgs. He has played every snap for the Huskies this season.
Hemphill, a senior from Gardena, Calif., had a career day in his first-ever start, leading the Dawgs with 14 tackles. He also had an interception and a fumble recovery.
Wood, a senior from Tampa, Fla., returned two kickoffs for 51 yards, including a 34-yarder, and also had one punt return.
Meuli, a freshman from North Bend, Wash., Matthews, a freshman from Sacramento, Calif., and Mason, a junior from Santa Monica, Calif., were honored for their work on the Huskies' service teams.
