WALNUT, Calif. - A small faction of Husky field athletes competed on day one of the Puma Collegiate Invite on Friday in Hilmer Lodger Stadium, part of the Mt. SAC Relays.

Senior women's pole vaulters Kelly DiVesta and Stevie Marshalek were the two remaining Huskies in action. DiVesta cleared 12-7 1/2 however Marshalek failed to clear the bar.

In earlier action at the California Multi-Events, junior Liz Fuller and freshman Andrew Ferleman completed their first multi-events of the outdoor season. Fuller was fourth in the women's heptathlon with 4,789 points, while Ferleman was eighth with 5,845 points in the men's decathlon.

The meet will not resume until Sunday, when Frederick is scheduled to long jump and javelin throwers David Nyland and Kyle Nielsen will compete.
