SEATTLE - After each game, Coach Tyrone Willingham and the Husky football coaching staff will name the Huskies' Pepsi Players of the Game for that week's performance. The winners following the UW's 29-20 loss at No. 3 USC are receiver Sonny Shackelford, defensive back Dashon Goldson, kicker Michael Braunstein, tailback Shelton Sampson and linebackers Matt Houston and Donald Butler.

Shackelford, a senior from Los Angeles, notched his third straight 100-yard receiving game, tying a career-high with nine catches for a career-high 125 yards. Shackelford, the Huskies' leading receiver in 2004 and 2005, is the first Husky since Reggie Williams in 2003 to record 100 receiving yards in three straight games.

Goldson, who came off the bench to play extensively at both cornerback and free safety, led the Huskies with 10 tackles on the day. The senior from Los Angeles, was also credited with three pass breakups and a tackle for loss. Nine of his 10 tackles were solo efforts.

Braunstein, a junior from Gilbert, Ariz., kicked a pair of field goals in two attempts, from 26 and 25 yards out. He also converted both of his PAT attempts and successfully executed an onside kick to open the second half.

Sampson, a senior from Lakewood, Wash., Houston, a freshman from Goleta, Calif., and Butler, a freshman from Sacramento, Calif., were honored for their work on the Huskies' service teams.
