The final USA Today/ESPN Top-25 Coaches poll was unveiled on Tuesday, a day after Connecticut was crowned NCAA Champion, and Washington was 23rd. The Huskies were 24-11 and received 108 points in the final vote of 31 Division I head coaches.
Arizona was the only other Pac-10 team that appeared in the final rankings, coming in at No. 9. Other Husky opponents during the season that ended up ranked were Kentucky (3rd) and North Carolina (8th).
Connecticut was No. 1 with 30 place votes and Butler was No. 2. Ohio State was the only other team to receive a first-place vote and they ended up No. 5 overall.
Washington was the 2011 Pac-10 tournament champions and advanced to the third round of the NCAA tournament. They beat Georgia in the second round, but fell to North Carolina in the third round.
