SEATTLE - 2007 marks the 100th anniversary of the Apple Cup game and exclusive television coverage will be presented by FSN. The most anticipated game of the season for the Washington Huskies and the Washington State Cougars takes place Saturday, November 24th at 4pm. If fans aren't able to make it to Husky Stadium for the big game, FSN is bringing the excitement live and direct to their living room.
Immediately following the game, the College Football Northwest: Apple Cup post-game show will get live reactions from both teams, and the presentation of the Governor's Trophy to the winning team. The College Football Northwest crew will also bring fans highlights and breakdown some of the biggest plays from the Apple Cup game.
Huskies and Cougars agree though that this rivalry heats up well before Saturday, so FSN will spend the entire week stirring up the debate and presenting the compelling stories from both teams. Husky and Cougar fans can re-live some of the greatest Apple Cup games of the past with FSN Classics and hear directly from legends of the big game such as Bledsoe and Sixkiller as they recount their favorite memories of the Apple Cup on Apple Cup at 100.
FSN Apple Cup Classics
Every Tuesday this football season, FSN is bringing back the greatest Apple Cup games in recent history on FSN Classics: Apple Cup Tuesdays. Fans currently have the opportunity to vote on which Apple Cup games they would like to see in the final days leading up to the Apple Cup. FSN will broadcast the top three games voted on by fans that log on to either GoHuskies.com or WSUCougars.com and visit the 2007 Apple Cup Central page.
Apple Cup at 100
FSN is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Apple Cup by re-living the history of the rivalry as told by the players, coaches, and fans of both teams on Apple Cup at 100. Legends of the Apple Cup such as Drew Bledsoe, Sonny Sixkiller, Mike Price, and Don James describe their greatest memories from this historic rivalry. Fans can catch 30-minutes dedicated to their school during the week leading up to the game.
