SEATTLE - Tickets for the Washington men's basketball team's final home game against top-ranked Stanford sold out Friday. The March 6 game will be televised live on ABC (KOMO 4 in Seattle) at 3 p.m. Pacific Time. The game also airs on UW flagship radio station KJR (AM 950) in Seattle.
Tickets are still available for the Huskies' only other remaining home game, a Thursday, March 4 encounter with California.
Sales for UW-California tickets have been brisk and advanced purchases are strongly recommended. Tickets can be purchased via the internet at the Athletic Department website (Husky Basketball Tickets) or by calling the Husky Ticket Office (206-543-2200).
The California game features a Web Ticket Special. All bleacher seats can be purchased on-line for $7 rather than their usual price of $10.
The Stanford game marks the sixth sellout since Bank of America Arena re-opened for the 2000-01 season after renovations. Washington's game against Gonzaga in December also sold out this season.
The Huskies' game against Arizona on Jan. 13, 2001 was the first sellout in the new 10,000-seat configuration. The Wildcats' visit to Seattle last year drew a record crowd of 10,028 on Jan. 11, 2003.
The Huskies are have a 13-10 record and are currently in third-place in the Pac-10 standings with an 8-6 record.
