One came across on an RBI groundout from Adam Openshaw and Albino's second double of the game scored another to give the Wolverines a 6-3 advantage.

In the seventh, Utah Valley added a seventh run on another sacrifice fly.

Washington rallied in the eighth to cut the gap as freshman pinch hitter Joey Lind hit a two-out, two-run double. However, Slesk doubled to drive in a run in the bottom of the inning, stretching the lead back to three runs at 8-5.

Brinkerhoff went 2-for-3, reached base four times and scored three runs to lead UVSC. Washington got two hits from Hague, who was 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs, and from Rindal.
