The Washington baseball team appeared in the national rankings for the first time this season today, earning the No. 24 spot in Baseball America's top-25 rankings and the No. 30 position in Collegiate Baseball's poll.
The Huskies (16-7) were ranked seventh in the conference by the Pac-10 coaches in a preseason poll, but are now the fourth-highest nationally ranked team in the league.
Washington travels to Portland Tuesday and Wednesday for non-conference games before opening conference play this weekend at Stanford, which is ranked No. 8 by Baseball America and No. 6 by Collegiate Baseball.
