WASHINGTON HEAD COACH Lorenzo Romar

On the overall game... "The first half of the first half we were just kind of feeling them out. We had two days to prepare with how they play their offense and their defense. We felt once we settled down and figured out what was going on, that we were able to get the ball inside. I felt we defended them well. We were smart defensively, we got good shots off of it. I was really pleased with how we handled our business tonight."

On the second half run... "We did a good job at guarding and we got the ball inside. We didn't just settle for the three-point bombs, we got the ball inside too. We also charged the glass hard and got a lot of boards."

OREGON STATE HEAD COACH CRAIG ROBINSON

On the transition from the first half to the second..."I think they did a great job of taking us out of what we were trying to do. We did a good job of imposing our will on the game, but then they said this is enough of that, and they started being much more physical, and we unfortunately crumbled under it."

On the game overall... "It looked like they were going to start pushing us around, and we were going to let them, and that really hurts me as a former player, as a coach and as a fan. I am disappointed in our performance tonight and I will certainly take part of the blame for it. I have to be able to motivate these guys, so this is the type of game they live for. You are playing well and playing better. When you get to play one of the top teams in the league on your home floor, you have to play for 40 minutes tough."

OREGON STATE JUNIOR SETH TARVER

On the game: "I guess they figured out where to get the ball and made their shots. Their guards are kind of small and they can shoot the ball deep. They started penetrating and hitting open shots. Our team has been through a lot of changes. We are still coming together and getting better and better. Sometimes we regress."

On offense: "It was difficult; they were helping out and putting a lot of pressure on us. They were making the passes hard and making it tough to get inside. I know we got out-rebounded pretty bad. They are a good rebounding team and it was hard to find a man and box him out."
