Washington is now 17-16 its 14 NCAA Tournament appearances all-time. The Huskies are 7-5 in NCAA Tournament games under Lorenzo Romar. Washington has advanced to its fourth Sweet 16 since 1998 and third under Romar (2005, 2006)

The only other time Washington was a #11 seed in the NCAA Tournament , the Huskies defeated Xavier and Richmond to advance to the Sweet 16 before losing to sixth-ranked Connecticut (75-74 loss in Greensboro, N.C.). Washington (has) not appeared in the NCAA Quarterfinals (Sweet 16) since 1953.

With his 13 points against West Virginia, Isaiah Thomas now has 1,134 career points, all in just two seasons - the most ever for a Washington player in their first two seasons.

Quincy Pondexter played in his 136th career game at Washington, extending his school record for most appearances as a Husky.

Quincy Pondexter is third on the UW career scoring chart with 1,786 points in his four seasons as a Husky. Jon Brockman is in second-place with 1,805 points from 2006-09. Two of the top three scorers in school history completed their careers the last two years (Brockman last year, Pondexter this year).

Matthew Bryan-Amaning had 5 blocks today. He has 104 in his career and is third on the UW career charts. Todd MacCullough is second with 142 from 1996-99.

Venoy Overton had 2 steals against West Virginia. He has 141 in his career, which passes Nate Robinson for fourth on the UW career charts. Robinson had 140 from 2003-05.

With tonight's game against West Virginia, Washington equaled the most games played in a season with 36 - tying a mark set in 1938.

NBA players in attendance at tonight's Washington vs. West Virginia contest were former Husky standouts Jon Brockman (Kings), Spencer Hawes (Kings) and Nate Robinson (Celtics). In addition, Justin Holiday's brother Jrue (Nets), Rashon Rondo (Celtics) and Brooke Lopez (Nets) were at the game.

Justin Holiday entered the NCAA postseason with five total three-point baskets during the regular-season (31 games). He had five treys in the UW's three NCAA tournament games.

Isaiah Thomas fouled out for the first time this season. It is only his second of his career. His first came in his first collegiate game against the University of Portland.

Washington's 56 points is the second-fewest for the team this season. The fewest point total was 51 against Arizona State.

West Virginia had 49 rebounds, which is a season high against Washington

Quincy Pondexter (695) and Isaiah Thomas (593) combined for 20 points during the game against West Virginia to become the highest single-season scoring duo in team history, amassing 1288 points.

Washington played its first-ever basketball game in the Carrier Dome.
