Prugh in Ninth After Two Rounds in Tucson

Tucson, Ariz. - Washington junior Alex Prugh shot 1-over 73 in round two at the National Invitational, placing him ninth at 3-under 141 headed into Tuesday's final round. The 24th-ranked Huskies finished the second round at 5-over 293, putting UW in 10th position at 6-over 582. UCLA stayed in the top spot on the team leader board at 14-under 562. The player leader is Alejandro Canizares of Arizona State, who shot 71 on the afternoon for a two-round total of 6-under 138.

One stroke behind Prugh, at 2-under 142, is fellow junior Erik Olson, who shot 1-under 71 for the second straight day. He is tied for 14th on the leader board. John Wise turned in another solid round, a even-par 72, placing the freshman 36th at 1-over 145. James Lepp carded a 77 for the second straight day and sits in 78th at 10-over 154, while Kellen Eakin's 78 placed him in 81st at 13-over 157.

The third and final round of the National Invitational begins tomorrow 7 a.m. (MT). Live scoring of the event is available at golfstat.com.
