Jim Lambright, a former All-Coast defensive end, longtime assistant coach and former head coach at Washington, will be inducted into the Shoreline Community College Athletic Hall of Fame on Sunday, April 11.
Lambright, who earned three letters at the UW (1962-64), began his coaching career as an assistant at Fife High School in 1965 before moving onto Shoreline, where he spent three seasons. In 1969, he was hired by Jim Owens and remained on the Husky sidelines for 30 seasons, including his last six as head coach.
The public is invited to attend the induction with at a wine tasting event at North City Bistro in Shoreline on April 11. Tickets to the event can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com. Proceeds benefit Shoreline CC athletic scholarships.
