TUCSON, Ariz. - The Washington baseball team's game vs. Kentucky Friday was rained out after a hail and thunderstorm just prior to the scheduled 2:00 (PST) start. The Huskies are in Tucson playing in the Illini Desert Classic at the Kino Sports Complex, spring training home to the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Chicago White Sox.

The UW-Kentucky game has been re-scheduled for Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. (PST). The Huskies will close out the weekend's play vs. Illinois at 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening.

Sophomore Sean White (Mercer Island) is expected to get the starting pitching assignment against the Wildcats while freshman Clay Johnson (Elma) is slated to make his first career start vs. Illinois.

Washington won its season opener Thursday, beating Brigham Young, 6-5.
