Erik Folk, whose 32-yard field goal split the uprights with no time left on the clock to beat No. 18 USC on Saturday, was named Pac-10 Special Teams Player of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Folk, a junior from Woodland Hills, Calif., went 4-for-4 on field goals in the 32-31 win at the L.A. Coliseum. His 32-yarder as time expired was a near-repeat of the previous season's USC game, when he connected on the game-winner with three seconds remaining in a 16-13 victory.
He was also one of three players honored as a Lou Groza Collegiate Place Kicker Award "Star of the Week."
Oregon's LaMichael James and Cliff Harris earned Pac-10 Player of the Week honors on offense and defense, respectively.
