After each game, Coach Tyrone Willingham and the Husky football coaching staff will name the Huskies' 950 KJR Players of the Game for that week's performance. The winners following the UW's game last Saturday vs. UCLA were cornerback Mesphin Forrester, linebacker Trenton Tuiasosopo, cornerback Quinton Richardson, wide receiver Vince Taylor, safety Greg Walker and cornerback Justin Glenn.
Forrester, a senior from Los Angeles, and Tuiasosopo, a senior from Everett, Wash., shared the honors on defense. Forrester notched eight tackles and an interception after having missed the UW's previous game due to injury. Tuiasosopo also had an interception, which he returned for 33 yards, to go with seven tackles.
Richardson, a redshirt freshman from Renton, Wash., was honored for his play on Husky special teams. He had two kickoff returns for 68 yards, including a 52-yarder, while also compiling three tackles.
Taylor, a freshman from Issaquah, Wash., Walker, a freshman from Bellflower, Calif., and Glenn, a freshman from Mukilteo, Wash., were honored for their play on the Huskies' service teams in practice during the week.
