Husky quarterback Carl Bonnell has had a wild season, going from being the backup to the starter. He has also had to endure an injury against Arizona State and a wild overtime game at California. However, Bonnell is as calm and prepared as ever to take on the next challenge--the Oregon Ducks.
GoHuskies.com: What is the mentality in the locker room right now?
Carl Bonnell: I think it's pretty good. I think guys know our backs are against the wall and we just have to come out and play three solid games. We need to win all three to get to a bowl game.
GH: Do you feel more pressure having to win out?
CB: Oregon is a tough team and they put a lot of pressure on us as it is. We have to prepare for them be ready to play against a really tough Oregon team.
GH: How good is Oregon?
CB: They've shown some vulnerability in certain areas. Obviously I feel that we can compete against anybody after the performances we've had on the road this year. I'm excited for the opportunity this weekend.
GH: How will the game this weekend be like what you've seen so far?
CB: I think it will be similar. Their crowd will definitely be pumped up. Oregon doesn't like us too much and we don't like them too much. It will be a pretty good game and both teams will be fired up for it.
GH: Does the team get more excited to play rivals, two in the next three weeks?
CB: I think there is more incentive. Both teams are doing pretty well right now and both are going to be tough games. It is going to take all of our commitment, dedication and focus to come away with wins.
