Washington Head Coach Lorenzo Romar
"We've had some teams that have had a lot of heart. I think our hearts have gotten bigger and bigger as the years progress. What our guys did tonight, in a poor shooting night, I thought was very, very special. Couldn't get the ball to go down from the outside. I thought Jon Brockman stepped up and did a good job on the inside. Our guys did a good job of getting him the basketball. Justin Holiday and Darnell Gant, they may not make the headlines, but they had headline performances defensively."

"James Harden and Pendergraph and the Arizona State Sun Devils, they're a heck of a team. Coach Sendek and his staff are doing a heck of a job. They don't usually lose those games. They usually win those games. We were very fortunate to come out with a victory against a very good basketball team. We did what we had to on the defensive end. I thought our intensity was at a high level. We were active. Venoy Overton gave us a great lift and spark in the first half. We were able to somehow find a way to win."

Washington Junior Forward Quincy Pondexter
"It was a very tough team. They really do a great job on defense and they do an even better job of getting great shots everytime. It was another team effort to get this win."

"It's so close we can taste it. But you know what, the next two games aren't going to be easy at all. Washington State is a tremendous team. They're well coached and they play really hard. Arizona is one of the hottest teams in America. We can't slouch right now. We just have to come ready and prepared and get ready for Saturday."

Washington Senior Guard Justin Dentmon
"If we wouldn't have come so far from spring time working hard, I don't think we would have won this game. I think mental toughness and being together in the game really helped us bring that game out at the end in overtime."

"I think they made a lot of adjustements form the last time we played them. They were more dialed on their zone than they were back at their place. I give credit to their defense, and I give credit to the players on their team."

Arizona State Coach Herb Sendek
"I don't think we ran out of gas. I think our guys battled like crazy and I think it could have gone either way."

"We don't take away anything. We just fought a hard fought game. We gave every ounce that we had. Right now we're not contemplating or being philosophical. We gave everything that we had. We have to bounce back."

"(Washington is) a deep, talented team. They have more depth than we do. They do a great job with their pressure defense."
