SEATTLE - The Washington baseball team headed south to the Valley of the Sun today. The Dawgs (19-16 overall, 4-5 in the Pac-10) take on top-rated Arizona State (31-4, 9-3) in a three-game series at Packard Stadium.
Game times for the series are 6:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday and 12:30 p.m. on Sunday (currently, there's no time change between Seattle and Tempe).
All three games will air live on radio in the Seattle area on KKNW AM-1150 with Gary Hill calling the action. You can also listen to those broadcasts on the internet via www.1150kknw.com.
Both teams dropped their lone midweek game vs. a local rival. The Huskies dropped a tight, 3-2 decision to Portland while Arizona fell to Arizona, 4-3, in a non-conference meeting.
This weekend's pitching matchups will feature Husky lefty Geoff Brown vs. ASU right-hander Seth Blair. On Saturday, it'll be UW right-hander Andrew Kittredge vs. Sun Devils RHP Merrill Kelly and on Sunday, Arizona State righty Jake Borup will face a Husky starter that has yet to be deterimined.
