LOS ANGELES - No. 17/15 Washington earned its first conference sweep since sweeping Utah at home to open Pac-12 play last year by taking game three at No. 15/15 UCLA, 6-0, on Wednesday at Easton Stadium.

It was the first-ever three-game conference sweep on the road and the first time the UW (28-10, 6-3) has won three-straight against UCLA (25-11, 2-7) since 2004.

The Huskies clinched the series, their first series win since 2010 in Seattle over UCLA with the two wins on Tuesday, 1-0 and 5-4 (9).

UCLA was last swept at home by a Pac-12 team in 2010 as Arizona State did so.

Junior pitcher Kaitlin Inglesby (Portland, Ore.) was one of the huge stories in the series, pitching two complete game shutouts vs. the Bruins. She earned the 1-0 win in game one on Tuesday and earned the game three win, allowing just five hits over the seven innings. Her record is 13-4 overall.

Washington got the scoring going in the first with two outs. Junior Kimberlee Souza (Waialua, Hawai'i) hit her seventh home run of the season to give the Huskies the early 3-0 lead.

Two more home runs, a solo shot by Missy Taukeiaho (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) and a two-run homer by Kylee Lahners (Laguna Hills, Calif.) added three more runs to Washington's total.

UCLA's best chance to get back in the game was in the bottom of the fifth. The Bruins got the bases loaded with no outs but a strikeout by Inglesby and two ground ends ended the threat.

Taukeiaho led the Huskies with two hits.

Ally Carda took the loss for UCLA (16-6), allowing six runs on four hits in 2.2 innings. Jessica Hall pitched 4.1 innings in relief.

Pac-12 play continues this weekend for the Huskies at home as they host Oregon State in a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. and in a single game on Sunday at 3 p.m. Sunday's game will air live on the Pac-12 Networks.
