SEATTLE (AP) - David Lucas posted career highs with 14 points and eight rebounds in Oregon State's 80-72 victory over Washington Thursday night.
The Beavers outrebounded the Huskies 38-24, and it helped them top Washington for the seventh time in the teams' last eight meetings.
Washington (8-15, 3-11 Pacific-10) has lost five games in a row.
Lucas, a 6-foot-7 sophomore who is the son of former NBA and ABA standout Maurice Lucas, hit all five of his shots in the first half and was among five Beavers who finished with double figure scoring.

Washington grabbed an early 14-6 lead when Curtis Allen hit a 3-pointer with 13:03 to play in the half. The Beavers responded and outscored the Huskies 21-9 over the next 7˝ minutes -with Lucas scoring 10 points during the run.
