WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - With divisional alignments in place, the Pac-10 conference confirmed the announcement of the 2011 Pac-12 football schedule. The University of Washington will face both conference newcomers, Utah and Colorado, but will not play UCLA or Arizona State in the 2011 season.
UW will open the season by hosting non-conference tilts against Eastern Washington and Hawaii before travelling to Nebraska. The Huskies face another grueling schedule, as seven of the 12 opponents on UW's 2011 slate were 2009 bowl game participants, and five 2011 Husky opponents are ranked in the top 15 of the current 2010 BCS standings.
UW's November 5 date with the Oregon Ducks will be the final game in the current Husky Stadium. Following the game, construction will begin on the Husky Stadium renovation, and the Dawgs will then host Washington State on November 26 at Qwest Field in the 2011 home finale.
