SEATTLE - Construction of the new UW Baseball Team Building has continued at a rapid pace through the month of December. Any recent visitors to the area around Husky Ballpark have to have been impressed with the continued progress as the exterior of the building takes its final form.

The new building will house the Huskies' locker room, training room, study area, coaches' offices and a 1,400-square foot meeting room.

The $4-million facility is the first stage of new construction at Husky Ballpark, which opened in 1998. The 9,000-square foot team building is slated to open next spring. A second phase of construction will add permanent stadium seating, press box, concourse and concession areas.
