The 6-foot-9 forward, who did not practice with the team Friday, will definitely miss Saturday's game against Cal State Northridge. He will be unable to practice or play with the team until he is declared eligible.
Day averaged 6.5 points and 5.0 rebounds during the Huskies' first eight games. He started six times, including the season opener on Nov. 24 against Montana State when he registered career highs with 10 points and nine rebounds.
A product of Seattle Prep High School, Day averaged 2.8 points and 2.8 rebounds as a UW freshman in 2001-02. He ranked second on the team with 30 blocked shots.
Washington (4-4) is in the midst of a six-game homestand, including Saturday's game against Northridge that starts at 2 p.m.
